Probable XI For IPL Season 2

With the end of the auction for IPL Season 2, it is time to pick the most probable eleven

  1. Hayden/ M Hussey – Hayden surely picks himself in any team. But the fact that M Hussey would not be for the entire season may lead Hayden to miss a few matches
  2. M Vijay/ Abhinav Mukund – Vijay surely lends the much needed stability to the team. And there is Abhinav Mukund to step in as a replacement for Vijay or Parthiv Patel
  3. Raina – Hope Raina changes himself to a complete match winner this season
  4. Dhoni
  5. Albie Morkel
  6. Badrinath
  7. Flintoff/Oram – With the recent injuries to Oram, I believe Flintoff would be playing ahead of Oram.
  8. P Patel – This is a free slot which could be filled by anybody.
  9. Tyagi/Gony – Though Gony  played amazingly last year, I believe Sudeep Tyagi pick himself ahead of Gony
  10. Balaji
  11. Murali/Ntini – With no other top notch spinner in the team, Murali may be playing all the matches

hey there are may things you havent considered ...

a)albi morkel and ntini are not available for the first week and a half !!

so sqad for the first few games

2)p.patel (dhoni prefers not keeping for csk )
8)murali or oram (mostly murali cause they wont risk playing an indian spinner in the form of ashwin or jakati .....but muralis availabilty is still not sure !!)
11sundeep tyagi

@ Vikram,
Thanks for letting me know.. I did not know South Africans will not be there for 10 days..

If so, Hussey will be replacing Morkel in my squad..

Patel or Vijay depends on CSK Management.. But I believe it is CSK Management and not Dhoni who prefers parthiv to Dhoni...

Both Australians and South Africans won't be here for the first 10 days at least.. So Hussey also won't be available. That means mostly both murali and oram would play the initial games.. and parthiv and vijay would be playing..

this year, with hayden in for the entire season, any line up looks like a good line up what with flintoff in our ranks,.... do we have something against the daredevils though??? they dont seem to like losing to us much on their website....

we have one blank spot.

we have to recondider for murali. If we remove We will get some good options like oram/hussy,morkal,flintoff,hyden in some matches. Give some chance to aswin. He will be very good all rounder.

@ raghav,
May be Daredevils think that we will the be the team that will prevent them from laying the hands on the cup.. :)

@ karthik,
Yeah.. Ashwin even batted well in the Duleep Trophy.. But I am sure the last spot will be decided by the captain and coach based on what they see in the nets and practice matches..

it definitely feels like it's our season doesnt it??? i read the times of india here in bangalore and there was this article that if the royals manage to win again it will be nothing short of a miracle(they dont have watson, smith or tanvir)... our greatest challenge in my opinion... mumbai indians... they look real strong...

@csk fansite.... lol, with good reason man, we are pretty strong.. ur name robin??? keep up the good work..

@ vikram,
Yeah this is robin.. signing on as CSK Fansite to get some google juice into...

Yeah! I also personally consider Mumbai Indians.. Only thing they miss the knack of Dhoni.. Let us see.. But I am sure we are in for "a hell of a season"

- Robin

1. Mathew hayden

2. M Vijay

3. Suresh raina

4. MS Dhoni

5. Oram / Bailey

6. Badrinath

7. Mukund

8. Balaji

9. Murali

10. Gony

11. Joginder / Tyagi

This will be my team line up. Though Freddie is confident of his participation, the ECB is yet to give their verdict. What if they dont allow him to come here?? When Hussey and Morkel join the team we need to rotate the players. may be Murali and oram have to give way...
